Prompt timely service. They shined up my shoes while I waited I ran up the street and got a coffee at Espresso Bueno
I brought in a pair of shoes that had seen better days. I wasn't sure if they could be saved as they're the first "good" shoes I've ever owned. To make a long story short - for $8 they look new and they did the work the same day!
I came into downtown to spend some money on my day off which is twice as expensive as spending my money else where. I had to let my dog out to pee not an option if you understand? The store keeper lost her mind telling me I'm the reason people can't plant flowers and don't let him pee on that tree! Its a dog its what they do. She wanted me to punish my dog for being a dog. I carry bags I'm responsible. I will take my business else where.
I brought in an old pair of beat up logger boots and the folks a Boisvert's resurrected my boots from the dead and brought them back to life. They literally look brand new after 15 years of use. The turn around time was two weeks, but for quality work like that I would have waited longer. They are top notch in my book don't listen to these other people.
First let me start off by saying we have heard nothing but positive feedback about this establishment. Busy day at the shop so the woman at the front was understandably rushed not however an excuse to be rude to the three of us that went in. My wife had a simple request for a new pair of boots to be stretched. Easy enough and cheap enough. Long story short we had a conversation about the work and the woman said it would be a few days and they would call her. 7 days later my wife asks me if I would go pick up the boots on my way home from work. Gave them a call and the woman on the phone said she could not find them and would call me back. Receive a call back 10 mins later asking for more information on the boots and said they would call me back. Never received a second call back so I too a drive after work down to see what was going on. Came in with a positive attitude because stuff happens and it was not a big rush deal to have the boots back just getting a status. I asked about the status of the boots and explained i had called earlier. The woman at the front was instantly rude and went out back to try to find them. She came back with no luck and I was asked more questions about the boots and handed a man behind the counter a tag. The boots were "found" on the stretching machine. I was handed the boots and absolutely nothing was done to them no compound was applied and the boots were not resized in anyway and now there is a small rip in the back. This whole time I received nothing but attitude from the woman like the attitude of some high school diva. If they had been nice and said it's going to take 2 weeks we would have left them for 2 weeks and been happy. But we were told a few days so I'm getting attitude for holding them to there word. At the same time a friend of mine dropped off two pairs of shoes she called them same day and they explained to her they had not started on them. Come on just own the fact you forgot to start on ours too and just threw them on the machine and didn't magically find them. Why lie about it? These are a $500 pair of boots that now have to be taken somewhere else and I lost $25 in the process. Not a good experience, hopefully we can resolve the issues. I feel like I was lied to and ripped off they took the money and performed none of the work and caused damage.
