The absolute worst service. I brought my son's car in for a safety recall today issued by Volkswagon. I made the appointment three days in advance. The service department kept the car for 3 hours today and never called me to notify me that they could not complete the job nor had they even started the job as they did not have the right part, according to them. When I contacted them after waiting three hours, I was notified that that they did nothing about the defective airbag. They made no attempt to contact me and apprise me of the situation nor to let me know that I could pick up the car a whole lot sooner. This is the most horrific service department I have ever dealt with. My advise stay away from this dealership and the rotten service department.
If I could give this dealer less than a star I would. We had a very important recall (air bags that if they exploded would send shrapnel towards drivers and passengers), we were hoping to be able to keep the repair in Vermont, yet Walker Mazda had no recalls open for our car, even though Mazda themselves sent out a recall notice with the campaign number written on it. I went about reentering the recall information and yet again, Walker Mazda's site let me down telling me there were no open recalls for our car. I looked at the hours they were open and was hoping to be able to squeeze in yet it seems they pretty much have bankers hours, mon thru fri.... So instead, I went back to the Mazda site, put in my information yet again, found a dealer in NY that is only 5 miles more of a drive than it would of been for me to drive to Barre, and wow, they were able to find my recall, not one but both of the air bag recalls and get me in for NOON on a SAT, so I didn't have to try and rearrange my schedule and loose time at work or not be able to pick my daughter up from school. So, thanks but no thanks Walker Mazda. You could of had a loyal customer
My husband and I had a terrible experience during our TDI trade in at Shearer VW in Burlington. So we drove down to Barre the day before we had to turn our TDI in, (Shearer had refused to hold a car for us, even with money down) and had hands down the BEST experience. Not only did they help us find the perfect car (and hold it without any money down) they offered to lend us a car so that we wouldn't be without a car after the trade in at Shearer. They made the car buying process so simple and stress free. We worked with Ron and he was fantastic - even took the time to make sure we understood how to work the center console of the car and sync our iPhones etc.
We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a new car or doing their VW TDI trade in.
Their service department is fantastic! They were fast, professional and friendly. They even took the extra time to fix an issue that came up that morning. Even though there is another Mazda service center that is closer, I will make the drive to Walker the next time my vehicle needs servicing.
